Putting Passionate
People Online

I’m Ruth Nineke and I LOVE working with seriously passionate people.

Stay Boring and Small You Dumb Fucking Bitch

Boring people are the absolute worst.

They always have some underhanded, sneak diss remark to make. They always have something poisonous to project onto courageous and creative people. Yet they nearly never add anything original, or useful to a conversation.

Boring people are always on some same ol’ bullshit. You ever notice how it’s always some boring, predictable, zero-backbone-having-mother-fucker who asks antagonizing-ass questions, and wants to play devil’s advocate when you have an idea? OR they’ll be the first to point and laugh if you hit a road-block, or stumble upon your path.

Personally, I used to get a lot of criticism that essentially boiled down to:

“Why are you so eccentric and loud?”

with condescending emphasis on the descriptors which are actually my super powers.

But it’s also like OKAY, DEB. Let’s get antagonizing!

WHY DO YOU LIVE IN FEAR?

WHY DO YOU LET SELF DOUBT RULE YOUR LIFE, TO THE POINT OF INACTION?

WHY DO YOU DOUBLE OVER BACKWARDS TO MAKE PEOPLE LIKE YOU?

WHY DO YOU ONLY EVER ACT ONCE SOMEONE HAS GIVEN YOU APPROVAL/VALIDATION? WHAT’S THAT ABOUT?

WHY DON’T YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF?

Knowledge is gained experience.

You cannot know what you haven’t learned or lived. And if you never believed in yourself, how could you know how good it feels? If you never took a big risk toward something that burned inside you, how could you know the spectrum of related emotions, or the internal unshakable fortitude which calcifies and spurs on the spirit?

We don’t know what we haven’t tried/done/lived/learned.

For instance, I don’t drive. I have driven. I’ve driven a motorbike at least 3 times – if not four. I once did it with someone on the back too! Granted, that person was adamant that I would learn and I would do it, regardless of my of my insistence and protestations that I’d already driven before and I don’t like it. But fine, whatever. I did it again with someone on the back and I know how to drive a motorbike. And I can drive a motorbike.

And I know for sure that I don’t like it because I tried it multiple times and I have the experience of it.

But I’m not gonna sit there and say “Why do you have a motorbike?” I’m not going to criticize people who drive. It works for you? In your life? Then go on! Godspeed(limit)! Enjoy yourself and be safe.

It’s not for me.

And for some people, dreaming big and exploring their passion, and committing exclusively to the work required of a vision, is simply no way to live. It’s not for them. It’s not for everybody. Everybody ain’t cut out for naysayers, rejection, fatigue, battling demons, depression and distractions.

Everybody don’t got what it takes to persist. You ain’t built tough. Just say that.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.

And mine could use work! Couldn’t we all, though?

Listen, because I’m gonna break this down for you like you’re an idiot:

If you don’t have the balls to dare to live a life of imagination, keep that cowardly projection shit to yourself. If you want, need, crave, and depend on external approval, and the safety of the unspoken rules of “society”, if the road most traveled, paved, painted, repaved, and repainted is the road which gives your life its truest joy – THEN I WANT THAT FOR YOU. If roadwork is your joy, go awf!

But if you were in your state of purest joy you wouldn’t need to antagonize the dreamers. You wouldn’t need to knock anyone down a peg, to satisfy the ugly voice inside of you that whispers envious poisonous things.

If you were happy, you wouldn’t care at all what anyone else does, says, or thinks.

NOBODY LIKES THE TRUTH, RUTH.

When you criticize people like me – the dreamers/the doers/the eccentrics/the expressive/the risk-takers/the YOLO yellers – all you’re doing is slapping a sign on your forehead that says you have low self-confidence, and that you’re terribly afraid of the truth.

The truth is nothing in life is guaranteed. The truth is everybody falls and fails sometimes. The truth is *perfect* doesn’t exist. The truth is we don’t know anything unless we try it for ourselves. Knowledge is gained experience.

If you’re scared to chase your dreams, that’s on you. If you can’t even remember your dreams because you gave up your imagination a long time ago, that’s on you. Accept and own that.

I just feel like if you want to fling shots we could do that too. If you want to come for me for listening to my soul’s voice, for chasing my own imagination, for exploring my potential outside of overly-familiar environments. then I’m gonna come right back at you for being basic, cowardly, and jealous.

You could very simply say “this wouldn’t work for me” and go on with your day. Literally, go on with your day. Find your happy place independent of popping shots, and go on your way.

how can I help you?
