So I’m offering a Creative Business Coaching package now, and in case you’re wondering why or how that came about… Let me tell you.
For a really long time I kept saying “I’m not a business a coach.”
Because I didn’t think I was. Because I wasn’t going to become one of those over-produced Instagram accounts, with formulas and templates, and prentious videos of me meditating or journaling or walking in the sunlight.
That just isn’t me. When I’m meditating why would I show anybody that? Why would I do it on camera and what does it give anyone else to see me do that?
I give good advice, sure. I’ve got tons of knowledge and problem-solving energy and skill. I can brainstorm ideas, and point you in the right direction for what you need.
But a coach?
And then I realized. Oh wait actually I already am coaching my clients. I give them pointers post-project. I check in with them, share useful links, reply to texts, lend support, give space.
People like talking with me. Actually, people often come to me for help and guidance on their goals. Friends in my DMs with personal matters, social media mutuals with book ideas.
They want me to answer their questions, explain things, and help inspire them. And what I’ve learned is people need and want someone to go through the steps with them, and encourage them.
Over the years I’ve worked with a handful of women who wanted websites for various inspired projects. All of their ideas were ways to bring awareness and help to others, whether through solutions-based consulting, an ambitious arts magazine…
A women’s network for entrepreneurs from the same region, or support services for those with various mental and physical struggles. These were all beautiful, well-intended ideas from women who wanted to create something lasting online.
My main service is web design. But it became apparent to me over time that lots of websites don’t stay online if the owner isn’t connected to the mission. And many people can have a hard time staying on mission without a concrete plan.
A website needs content. It needs copy, text, a core message. A store needs inventory. It needs photos and product descriptions. A business needs a marketing plan. And a consulting company needs clear deliverables in order to charge people for an intangible service.
The website doesn’t automatically mean a successful business. Especially for a creative, or non-traditional entrepreneur. Artists, writers, dreamers, freelancers, community-based consultants NEED a solid plan to keep them on track toward their goals and heart-felt purpose.
But planning can be daunting, and feel intimidating and overwhelming. It can seem like you’re trying to swim through quicksand – especially if you have trouble focusing when your dopamine is low. Business planning isn’t exactly the fun part.
That’s why I built my One-on-one Creative Business Coaching package: To help the women with good ideas who too often get stuck in the planning stages. I’ll be your tour guide through the maze of it all.
Together, over 10 weeks we’ll map out your vision: We’ll get to the deep down core of WHAT you want, WHY you want it, WHO you want to share it with, HOW to cover all your bases, and WHERE to do the best creative business you can.
Week 1 & 2 are ALL about you. We’ll talk about your ideas, your strengths, what you’re super proud of, your concerns and doubts around the project. We’ll go over all your questions. And we’ll outline your goals.
We’re not wasting time with defeatist language or familiar personal patterns that we already know have derailed us in the past. But we are meeting up every week for one hour. We’re texting and emailing and reaching out when we get stuck.
We’re DOING AFFIRMATIONS. And we’re keeping it a full 100% transparent with ourselves and we’re committing to the idea with everything we’ve got.
In Week 3 we’ll start crystalizing your project mission, and define your product / service and ideal audience. Then, we’ll build a schedule for the next 7 weeks.
Of course there’s a detailed step by step schedule for each week! Each week we’ll work through a bunch of questions that we’ll answer together. You also get weekly PDF recaps and videos to help you retain what we did, and keep you motivated for your project.
At the end of the 10 weeks you’ll have a completed business plan and marketing plan that YOU essentially made yourself. You’ll know how to set up payment accounts, and craft marketing copy that matches your mission.
Plus, you’ll have the confidence of knowing tons of new software, strategy, and tools that you can use to go after what you want and put something meaningful and good out into the world.
That’s my One-on-one Creative Business Coaching package. You and me, getting it done and making it happen, together.
You don't need more ideas. You need a plan.
